The Improved Mann Lake Top Feeder Insert features a galvanized steel safety screen designed to reduce bee drowning.
This top feeder is constructed of heavy-duty, single-piece plastic to provide a no-leak reservoir! The painted wooden surrounding measures 4-5/8"(11.43 cm) deep and fits all standard beekeeping equipment. There is no comparison to the strength and durability this hive top feeder provides over foam top feeders.
With this setup, your bees can access their food through a barricade and steel safety screen to keep them secure. Save time with a high-capacity feeder for apiaries that holds 4 gallons of bee food for the 10-frame option and 3.2 gallons for the 8-frame one.
A queen excluder is used to restrict the queen's movement up into the honey super while allowing worker bees to move freely. This ensures that the honey supers contain only honey and not brood (eggs, larvae, and pupae).
Our queen excluders are available in both 8-frame and 10-frame sizes and are made from durable, low carbon steel. They are precision welded to provide a precisely spaced grid, with the wire grid edged (bound) with metal on all sides. This results in an excluder that is both highly effective, safe for the bees, and built to last for years to come!
Eliminate the risk of losing your queen or having to contend with brood in your supers during extracting time by using a Queen Excluder. When there is brood in the supers it is nearly impossible to eliminate bees from the combs using a bee escape. Using an excluder will keep the brood and the queen where they belong.
We use the same great Metal Excluder, but with a wooden frame for improved bee space. This increases the overall ease of passage for workers through the excluder. Prevents the queen from producing brood in honey supers.
Our Plastic Queen Excluders are an inexpensive alternative to the metal excluders and are molded, not stamped, leaving no rough edges to harm your bees. Less susceptible to UV damage than the competition! Available in 10 or 8 Frame. These excluders are produced from food-grade polypropylene.
10½" tempered steel, multi-functional hive tool. Large "J" hook end for prying.
Our Escape Screen works faster and more effectively than traditional plastic bee escapes without the need for chemical removal aides!
Avoid Chemical Fumes: Safely vacate your hive without the need for chemicals by placing the Triangle Bee Escape between the honey super and the brood chamber.
Proper Orientation: Ensure the triangular side of the escape is facing downward. This design allows bees moving downward to pass through the maze easily while preventing them from returning to the honey super.
Timing is crucial: Place on the hive overnight and remove the empty super in the morning.
Our Notched Inner Cover is built to last for years of use in the hive! Place our Inner Cover underneath the Telescoping Cover or Garden Hivery Cover to provide proper working space for your bees. The notch also allows more ventilation and an alternative entrance. Masonite free and fully assembled!
Telescoping covers are the roof of your hive. Like the protective cover over your own house, you want one that can withstand even the harshest conditions. Our cover is made with heavy-duty aluminum that telescopes down over the top of the hive to keep out the elements. Designed to be compatible with 10-frame equipment only, it’s a vital component for any apiary. Made in the USA.
The solid-wood bottom board is an important base platform as it provides the entrance for the bees and also allows them enough space to work. The size can be adjusted to help the bees during different weather conditions. Solid wood bottom boards are perfect for cooler climates because they're similar to natural hive enclosures, which makes them feel comfortable and right at home.
The Beehive Entrance Reducer fits snugly in the opening between the bottom board and your first brood chamber to control the size of the entrance to the hive. This entrance reducer is compatible with 10 Frame equipment only.
